A seminar series inviting speakers from Irish-based software companies. We discuss various approaches to creating software, methods, technology stacks, evolution of architecture, design process, dynamics of deployment, test culture, peer processes etc.

The goal of this seminar series is two-fold. It allows software companies to share their experiences with academics. It enables students to gain a deeper understanding of what is involved in developing software in a real environment. Topics include but aren't limited to:

  • Software methodology
  • Technology stack
  • Approach to testing and bugs
  • Deployment
  • Experiences with various practices, e.g. code reviews, TDD, pair programming, refactoring, etc.
