M-Lab The Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing Lab

M-Lab is a professionally managed joint project of the HSG (University of St. Gallen) and the ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). The core team is comprised of 6 companies with 6 PhD students and 2 professors (Elgar Fleisch and Friedemann Mattern) from the fields of computer science and business management who spend 2 years working on specific company-related problems and general issues associated with ubiquitous computing.

Research colleagues at St Gallen have set up the M-Lab, a joint initiative between the University of St. Gallen and ETH Zurich. They are members of MIT's Auto-ID Labs Network and their research takes in mobile, ubiquitous and active devices, part of the internet of things.
