Swimming the Channel

IASC Irish Life Attempt to Swim the Channel takes place the weekend of September 26.

IASC have raised funds over the last eighteen months for the Irish Cancer Society – to date, they have raised over €83,000, just shy of their goal of €100,000. Worth noting is that all funds raised are going directly to the Irish Cancer Society, as Irish Life Investment Management have generously paid all of the teams’ costs, including training, transport, accommodation, and boats.

Now that the actual swim is almost upon them, they are trying to arrange some final sponsorship – if you would like to sponsor them, you can follow the ‘Donate’ or ‘Sponsor Us’ links on their website (www.iasc-swim.com). They’ve also got a training blog and there will be a live link to following the swimmers while they’re in the water from the site.
