A special event on 4 July 2008 in Paris to mark 40 years of the EU Customs Union brought together EU Commissioner for Taxation and Customs Union László Kovács, French Budget Minister Eric Woerth, the 27 Directors General of national customs and other personalities.
The Paris Declaration
on the future of European customs was adopted there. For further information see the press notice, a 12 minute video documentary and a 1:42 minute video clip which were made for the 40th anniversary.
