Our speaker is David Lynch, Engineering Manager at Intercom, who will be talking about agility, the products, architecture, engineering mindset, the technology - lots: Go, Ruby, MySQL, AWS, Java etc. etc. More importantly (we think) he will give us an impression of their values and vision, how that translates into the atmosphere and vibe of a great working environment focused on creating great tech.
- s. Intercom announced today that it raised a further $50 Million in series c funding that they plan to invest in expanding and scaling the products; basically, investing in people and development (link).
About the Software@ seminar series:
We invite speakers from software groups based in Ireland talking about their history, context, practices and approaches to the design, management and organisation of software development in their company. We cover topics like software methodology, technology stack, issue tracking, software architecture and design, deployment, code reviews, testing, etc.
The talks should be of interest to anyone who wants to find out more about current practice in software management and development.
