The International Labour Process Conference is one of the longest established and best known forums for analysis of all aspects of work and employment. During its 25 year history it has earned its reputation as a cornerstone of insightful empirical research and cutting edge theoretical debate within the labour process and work organisation tradition. It is hard to imagine contemporary radical research which is not influenced by labour process insights.
Every year, the conference brings together academics and policy makers from the sociology of work and employment, business and management studies, human resource management, industrial relations, organisational analysis and a range of other disciplines to discuss and critically assess developments in work organisation, present their research and stimulate debate, collaboration and publication.
keynote speakers for ILPC2008 are:
- Professor Michael Burawoy of University of California at Berkeley (author of Public Sociologies, Manufacturing Consent and The Politics of Production
- Mr David Coates, The Work Foundation
We invite you to join this vibrant forum in Dublin to discuss work matters that really do matter. ILPC Partners include: Strathclyde University Business School, Royal Holloway, University of London, University of the West of England at Bristol, AIAS Universiteit van Amsterdam.
