The IAIS (Irish Association for Information Systems) and CEMS (Community of European Management Schools) are pleased to host the Doctoral Consortium "Knowledge, Networks and IS Innovation" for NITIM (the PhD network on Networks, Information Technology and Innovation Management).

This event takes place in Dublin, Ireland from 5-8 September 2007. The event aims to bring together PhD candidates and faculty, in order to facilitate focused and in- depth discussions.  The consortium will encompass the following areas:

  • The relationship between knowledge, innovation and organisation;
  • IS innovation processes (i.e. processes of ICT-enabled social/ organisational change);
  • ICT and new modes of organising (e.g. CSCW, virtual/ distributed forms of organising);
  • Business networks and inter-organisational systems;
  • Managing innovation in networks and clusters.
The consortium is meant to facilitate debate at the intersection of different disciplines like information systems, management, engineering, or sociology.  It puts particular emphasis on qualitative, theoretically informed empirical research.
