You are cordially invited to attend the UCD IT Breakfast, the next in our series, to be hosted at the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD, on Thursday, May 5th in the Laurence Crowley Boardroom.

Visiting Professor Erran Carmel, and Dr. Pamela Abbott will review developments in Outsourcing IT. This breakfast is designed to facilitate discussion on current and emerging trends in outsourcing and offshoring IT development and services.

The breakfast provides affiliates of the Department of Management Information Systems with an opportunity to meet industry experts and peers in the unique and relaxed environment of the Laurence Crowley Boardroom in UCD's Blackrock campus. The IT Breakfast is intended to showcase ongoing and future research direction in MIS at UCD.

Professor Erran Carmel, of the Kogod School of Business, American University, Washington DC is the author of the recently published "Offshoring Information Technology", as well as "Global Software Teams".

Dr. Pamela Abbott recently joined the Department from Cambridge University, UK is a specialist in proximity models of offshore software outsourcing (e.g. nearshore & onshore outsourcing).

The breakfast commences at 7.30 am in the Laurence Crowley Boardroom. The presentation will begin at 8:00 am, followed by discussion. The event will close no later than 9 am.
