News:
From September 2010 the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School will offer a new postgraduate degree at the intersection of Business and IT: the MSc in iBusiness – Innovation through ICT. The MSc in iBusiness – Innovation through ICT, will provide knowledge, perspectives and skills with which to effectively manage innovation in businesses and organisations by means of advanced information and communication technologies (ICT). This new programme covers the key concepts of ICT driven innovation, the strategic challenges of taking business in new directions with ICT, and the issues and approaches to delivering ICT mediated change.

The research activities of members of the Management Information Systems Group are organized within two centres, which reflect a dual thematic focus:
Our research centres are well positioned to provide support for PhDs that have an applied inter-disciplinary orientation. Members draw heavily on their active research involvement while teaching postgraduate programmes at UCD's Smurfit Graduate School of Business and undergraduate students at UCD's Quinn School of Business.
Management Information Systems (MIS) was established in 1979 as a research and teaching group within UCD's (then) Faculty of Commerce.
Management Information Systems encompasses a wide cross-section of research interests teaching a broad portfolio of subjects covering Information Systems (IS), Electronic Commerce / Business, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Social and Organisational aspects of IS / ICT, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Management Science and Systems Science.
MIS forms part of all undergraduate programmes in the Business School and offers a range of options to all students.
